About the Archival Clothing blog

Archival Clothing is a guide to heritage clothing, canvas bags, steel bicycles and Japanese web shops. Brought to you by Lesli Larson, co-founder of Archival Clothing and co-creator of Handy Bag.

History

Archival Clothing started in 2006 by Lesli Larson as a blog featuring vintage catalog scans, found images, ride reports and wishful reviews of Japan-only clothing. The blog morphed into a brand selling bags, apparel and accessories. In 2016, Archival stopped making bags and apparel but the blog continues as a historical record of Archival products, projects and people.

Current Projects: Handy Bag

Lesli and fellow Archival co-founder, Tom Bonamici, have launched a new bag joint: Handy Bag. Releases will be sporadic, so sign up for email updates on our Contact page if you want to know when they happen. This is very much a side hustle for us both, and will remain a lo-fi endeavor for quite a while.
