Filson Italy People

This Fall, the Filson catalog rolled out a steady stream of gents (and a few women) jumping snowmobiles, fighting fires and toying with chainsaws (a far remove from the old glass plate snaps of early 20th century Filson-garbed lumberjacks posing beside an almost apologetic axe gash). Tech fabrics are now actively mixing it up with tin and forestry cloth.

An antidote to these aggro snaps can be found in a 2014 Filson Italy lookbook featuring folks engaged in more cool and composed recreations. I miss these Filson Italy people.

Perhaps the next Filson lookbook should feature the looks of these 20-somethings responsible for refurbishing old bags for resale. More on the Filson restoration program.

  1. YES! They had great stuff! Don’t care for what “regular” Filson’s doing nowadays. Can you call the Italians and ask them to get it going again?
