From the archives: Made in the UK LL Bean knitwear

Thanks to an Archival follower who conjectured that that Rivendell’s Wooly Warm sweaters might be coming from the same knitting mill as vintage, UK-made LL Bean sweaters from the mid-1980s. Both come in a a similar shade of sea foam green and resemble each other in terms of overall styling (heavy of the rib knit). If you missed out on a Rivendell, generate a saved ebay search for vintage, “made in England” LL Bean sweaters from the 1980s. Here are few of my most recent finds. My fave are the ones the come in a pixelated camouflage plaid:

  1. I just discovered my beloved WoolyWarm Sweatervest had been ravaged by moths dead center front. Heartbreaking. So I went searching online, and of course they don’t make them anymore…
